NSMART is used for the pretreatment of irrigation water. The water source of each grower is 

different. Some water sources contain relatively high HCO3- ions. If the acid is not pre-adjusted, it will cause the irrigation water to be fertilized after the completion of the sampling and 

testing of PH and EC. However, after sampling at the drop arrow at the root of the crop, it was 

found that the pH was high. Mainly because the HCO3-ion in the water source reacts with H+ 

to form H2CO3. After encountering air, CO2 and H20 are produced, causing the added H+ to 

be consumed and the pH value to increase.
